FAQs
How do I know if a rate has availability?
The response to an availability request only returns rates if there is availability.
When am I ready for production?
Once you completed integration testing in sandbox, please reach out to Redeam on your Slack channel or send an email to integrations@redeam.com to schedule your pre-launch call.
Is a PartnerID the same as a SupplierID?
No. The SupplierID is provided by the Operator and is provided as to identify an Operator. The PartnerID is used to store an internal Reseller system specific ID which might not be shared with the Operator. Redeam pass the Partner ID as part of the booking as some Operators use the Partner ID, others the Supplier ID for searches in their reservation system.
Why should the Reseller telephone number be included on vouchers?
We recommend to add a telephone number to the voucher in case there are any issues with the bar codes at the gate.
Why do I receive availability for the next day?
If the availability returned in the availability request response is showing tomorrow's date, it might be that availability ID is used to determine the date range of the availability. Although the availability ID often aligns with the date and time of the availability itself, you should only use availability start
and end
to determine the availability date.
Why is the customer email address mandatory?
Any booking made via the Redeam Booking API requires a customer email address, this is to ensure customers can be contacted in case of event changes.
How do we make sure the correct tour and attractions times are booked?
Operators usually provide the times for their tours and attractions in their local time and provide the time zone. Redeam converts the times to UTC and pass UTC plus the time offset in hours localDateTimeStart
and localDateTimeEnd
to the Reseller.
